We utilise the latest technologies to provide a more effective and comprehensive audit. These technologies include retroreflectometers for measuring traffic sign reflectivity and road marking reflectivity.
TREATMENT OF CRASH LOCATIONS
Treatment of crash locations involves the selection of treatments for road locations with high or unacceptable crash history. The treatment of crash locations analyses numerous crash incidents not just one individual crash.
Our team undertakes an analysis of crash history including identifying each crash by ‘crash type’ using DCA codes and crash factors. This information is used to compile a Crash Factor Matrix and Collision Diagram.
Our team can then identify contributing factors to ‘crash clusters’ at the location. Once these contributing factors are identified we can provide recommended treatments and an economic appraisal of each treatment showing the benefit/cost ratio.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVESTIGATIONS
The Schramm Group has specialist experience in conducting accident investigations, root cause analysis and providing written reports with recommendations for mitigating further incidents.
Our senior management team consists of trained investigators with over 30 years of working knowledge of traffic safety and traffic management/engineering principles. This gives us a unique combination of experience ideal for the investigation of road traffic accidents.
The Schramm Group has conducted investigations in both these areas of expertise. These investigations range from fatal road crashes to minor damage incidents causing significant congestion to road networks.
The Schramm Group offers an immediate response to an accident location to ensure timely collection of information and first hand inspection of the accident scene including collection of photographs and liaison with investigating Police. This enables a more comprehensive assessment and investigation rather than relying on after the fact information.
